This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked. The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size. Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.

We went here for the first time today. For those wondering where to go now that Happy Family is closed, here is the place!! They have the fried bread and very delicious food. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of a shopping complex with great views of Mt Wilson. The staff is fantastic and the food is high quality and delicious! We loved everything we ordered ( peppered beef and squash, Singapore noodles, and mushrooms and mustard greens) and can't wait to try more dishes. My phone died so didn't get pictures of the food. They are only open for lunch and dinner ( closed 3-5). I wish they were opened a bit later but we will make it work. It feels so nice inside, clean and comfortable and nice music playing in the background. Looking forward to our next visit!

Basil with egg plant & soft tofu was excellent! My favorite was the salt/spicy fried mushrooms!! It was lightly fried , crispy oiliness! The congee with Japanese melon was creamy & smooth.. but the Kong pai chicken was not good! Both the texture of the chicken and instead of using green/red pepper, they used this kind of cucumbers..

Liked: * A big variety of vegetarian dishes and tastes to choose from, including mock meat and fish * Unpretentious, simple, good food * Speedy, friendly service This isn't a fancy place - tucked upstairs in a dingy, dated plaza. A reliable neighbourhood gem for Chinese style vegetarian quick meals.

First time at Veggie Valley. I'm impressed with the decor and the service. Parking is available at the underground garage if not available in the open air lot. This restaurant used to be at Focus Plaza and has a rich history from their Taiwanese owners. The green beans are sauteed perfectly. The fried oyster mushrooms are so good, we got it without the egg wash and it is still so flavorful. As is the sweet and sour mushrooms. I really liked the flavor of the eggplant tofu and the kung pao soy chicken. Great food and a perfect location for vegetarian food.
